CEBU — Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro announced a total of ₱5 million in assistance for Pinamungajan during the Serbisyo Karaban for the 3rd District held Monday, August 17, at the Pinamungajan Auditorium.
The assistance includes ₱3 million for the municipality’s Charter Day celebration and another ₱2 million for its public library, providing support for both community activities and local development initiatives.
Gov. Baricuatro made the announcement during her visit to Pinamungajan, emphasizing the provincial government’s efforts to work with local governments in identifying ways to support their communities.
She said even Pinamungajan Mayor Glenn Baricuatro was unaware of the planned assistance.
“Ang among gi-istoryahan unsaon namo pagtabang ang Pinamungajan nga mo samot og lambo,” Gov. Baricuatro said.
The governor’s announcement formed part of the Serbisyo Karaban, which brings various provincial government services and assistance closer to residents in Cebu’s municipalities and cities.
The ₱3-million allocation for the Charter Day celebration will support the municipality’s activities commemorating its founding and community heritage, while the ₱2-million assistance for the public library is expected to help strengthen access to learning and educational resources for residents.
The provincial government said initiatives such as these are part of its continuing efforts to extend support to local communities and work closely with municipal governments.
The assistance also reflects the Capitol’s approach of coordinating with local government units to identify programs and projects that can contribute to community development.
Through the Serbisyo Karaban and other provincial initiatives, the Cebu Provincial Government continues to bring government services, programs and assistance directly to communities across the province.
