Gov. Pamela Baricuatro joined Cebu Archbishop Alberto βAbetβ Uy in a tree-planting activity at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Dumanjug, bringing environmental stewardship and community participation into the townβs preparations for its upcoming fiesta.
More than planting trees, the activity reflects a shared responsibility to protect Cebuβs environment and build greener, healthier communities for future generations.
The initiative supports Executive Order No. 56, Series of 2025, issued by Gov. Pam and later institutionalized through the Laudate Deum Siβ Tree Park Program, an ordinance authored by Provincial Board Member Dr. Stanley Caminero and approved by the Provincial Board in December 2025.
Through the program, designated green spaces are planted with native and climate-resilient tree species to help restore ecological balance, promote biodiversity, and provide accessible spaces where communities can learn about and participate in environmental stewardship.
For the Provincial Government, caring for Cebu means looking beyond todayβplanting and protecting what future generations of Cebuanos will one day inherit.
