Gov. Pamela Baricuatro joined the National Day celebration of the People’s Republic of China and the farewell reception honoring Consul General Zhang Zhen, who is concluding her diplomatic assignment in Cebu.

Gov. Pam’s presence reflected the Province of Cebu’s continuing commitment to maintaining strong relationships with the international community and fostering cooperation that can contribute to trade, tourism, investment, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connections.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to recognize Consul General Zhang’s diplomatic service in Cebu and the relationships built during her tenure.

Joining the celebration were OPAV Secretary Philip Lo, Fourth District Rep. Sun Shimura, members of the Cebu Provincial Board, Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Cindi King Chan, other local leaders, and representatives from the business and tourism sectors.

As Consul General Zhang concludes her assignment, the Province extends its appreciation and best wishes for her next chapter, while looking forward to continued friendship and meaningful cooperation between Cebu and the People’s Republic of China.
