All 21 barangay captains of the Municipality of Carmen paid a courtesy visit to Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro at the Cebu Capitol on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

During the meeting, Gov. Baricuatro reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to supporting the development initiatives of Carmen’s barangays and strengthening the delivery of basic services in local communities.

The governor assured the barangay leaders that they would receive medical kits, as well as tables and chairs, to help enhance their operations and better serve their constituents.

Baricuatro emphasized the importance of close coordination between the provincial government and barangay officials in addressing community needs and implementing programs that directly benefit residents.

The governor also expressed her anticipation of visiting Carmen, as she plans to join the municipality’s upcoming fiesta celebration and personally engage with its residents.

Also present during the courtesy visit was Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan, who oversees the health reforms and initiatives under Gov. Baricuatro’s administration.

The meeting highlighted the Cebu Provincial Government’s continued partnership with local leaders in promoting inclusive development and improving public services across the province.
